Susan Briski, Principal and founder of Sustainable
Progress, is a sustainability consultant and educator with clients
that include businesses, colleges, churches, and community groups.
She has 20 years of experience in high-tech corporations including
Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies. She worked as an engineer
and manager in Manufacturing and Research and Development. She has
an intimate understanding of the challenges and competing priorities
facing an organization and the need for measurable results toward
clear objectives that align with company strategy. She is knowledgeable
about the latest environmental and sustainability models and practices
and has expertise in The Natural Step (a framework for organizational
improvement), The Ecological Footprint, Environmental and Sustainability
Management Systems including ISO 14001 and the Global Reporting Initiative.
Susan has extensive project management experience which includes
multi-national projects. She is skilled in determining appropriate
objectives and leading teams through change management in a collaborative
environment so that company strategies and objectives are carried
through to implementation. Susan has a strong results-orientation,
systems approach, and problem-solving ability.
Susan holds an MBA in Environmental Entrepreneurship, an MA in Humanities and
Leadership with an emphasis in Culture, Ecology, and Sustainable Community,
and a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Her passion is to use her business skills
and sustainability expertise to help people live and work “as if tomorrow
mattered” - to create a sustainable world that operates within the earth’s
natural limits and where business, the environment, and people prosper.
